Autumn in Ms. Fitzgerald’s Class

We’ve had a really busy Autumn in Senior Infants. We are so lucky to be doing Ready Set Go Maths everyday and have learned so much during Aistear.
Ms Bourke taught us all about the shells we see on our local beaches and Matylda even found a cat shark’s mermaid purse.
We explored print making and clay during Art. After reading “Ten Apples on Top” by Dr Suess, we created our own clay apples and added ten apples to our fantastic self portraits!
Ms Fitzgerald taught us about Autumn trees, their leaves and fruits. We also learned about the Farm and we acted out the story Farmer Duck. We learned about animals who hibernate for the winter and constructed our own bears hibernating in their caves.
Halloween was wicked, we learned about our skeletons and carved pumpkins learning about their gooey insides and lifecycle.
“Best day ever” summed up the kids’ feelings after the Witches Walk in the last of the Autumn sunshine!
