September & October in Ms. Fitzgerald’s Class

We have had a busy few months in Senior Infants. We have been working really hard on our reading and our Maths in our pods during Literacy Lift Off and Ready Set Go Maths. Having the support of Ms Kiely, Ms O’Neill, Ms Crowley, and Lisa Walsh means we are all benefiting from individual attention and encouragement. We read aloud twice everyday and use concrete materials to help us with our sums.
We are learning a lot during Aistear too. Firstly, we learned about Autumn, the trees, their leaves and fruits. Ms Kiely even brought us to the school garden where we were tree detectives. We were so excited as to when it would be our turn to go!
We learned about harvest time and farms. We did a small play around the book “Farmer Duck”, made our own farm and learned about the animals and what foods they give us. Lastly, we learned about Halloween, made spooky skeletons and loved emptying and designing our very own pumpkins!
Happy Halloween!!
