Bunscoil Mhuire hosted a hugely successful Open Day on Wednesday 15th October showcasing all our wonderful facilities and classroom experiences. Tours were led by our 6th class students and began in the infant area where children learn through practical discovery and discussion. Ready Steady Maths was also showcased in the infant rooms with the children learning through hands on activities. Many classes were enjoying art and nurturing their creative talents. Gaeilge, IT, Music and Science were demonstrated in other classrooms. Visitors were also able to enjoy performances from our School Choir conducted by Ms.Ciara Whyte and accompanied by Ms. Treasa Edmonds. Refreshments were served in the hall thanks to our wonderful Parents Association.
Many thanks to Ms. Sheila O’Neill who organised the event and a special mention to the 6th class pupils who were so efficient and professional in the role of tour guides. Thank you also to Nelly Golebiewska and Connor O’Mahony from our Students Council who together with Charlie Cliffe and Meg Llewellyn made up our Welcoming Committee.
The closing date for enrolment of Junior Infant pupils 2026 is November 19th.
